2026.03-01 2nd Sunday of Lent

Dear Parishioners,

I hope your Lenten journey is going well, and I pray that this is indeed a time for you to deepen your faith in God and to strengthen your relationship with God. Lent is a special time when we are encouraged to focus on the spiritual disciplines of Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving. One of the concrete ways through which the Archdiocese of Toronto invites us to focus on the Lenten discipline of Almsgiving is the ShareLife Campaign. This year, the Archdiocese celebrates the 50th anniversary of the ShareLife campaign. The ShareLife campaign enables us to be in solidarity with our sisters and brothers locally and globally and to share our resources with those who are in need.

You will be receiving a letter from Cardinal Leo sometime in March, encouraging each Parishioner in the Parishes of the Archdiocese to participate in the ShareLife Campaign. And, we will have ShareLife posters and other resources in the Church to give you information about the campaign and to encourage you to actively participate in the campaign. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.

The 2026 suggested parish campaign goal for St. Rose of Lima Parish is $78,000.00. The suggested ShareLife campaign goal for each parish was determined by the Archdiocese, after taking the average of the offertory of each Parish for 2023 and 2024 and reviewing the results of the 2025 campaign against the benchmark. Last year, the suggested goal for our Parish was $77,000.00, and we collected $74,007.90, which is 96.1% of our suggested goal. Well done.
