2026.04-12 Divine Mercy Sunday

Dear Parishioners,

  After our solemn and beautiful celebrations of Holy Week and Easter, here we are on this Divine Mercy Sunday. I am grateful for the wonderful Holy Week celebrations we have had here at St. Rose of Lima Parish Community. It was lovely to see so many people coming through our Church doors to worship and to celebrate our faith. I thank you all for being part of our celebrations. I want to offer a special word of thanks to all our Parish volunteers and ministry groups for your dedication and generosity. We are blessed to have so many men, women, young people and children who offer their time and energy to make our celebrations lively and beautiful. 

  In the Church, Easter remains a special time for the sacraments, when adults and children are welcomed into the Catholic Christian community through their reception of the sacraments. Here at St. Rose, at the beautiful Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 4^th, it was a joy for me and Fr. Martin to administer the Sacraments of Initiation to our RCIA candidates, who have been journeying with our RCIA team since September.

  On Saturday, April 18^th at 10.00 am, we will have the First Holy Communions for the children of the Parish. On May 21^st at 7.00 pm., we will have the Sacrament of Confirmation for the young people of the Parish.

  As we continue our journey of faith during this Easter Season, may our gracious God continue to deepen our faith and trust in our risen Lord, who continues to walk with us as He did with His disciples.
