2026.01.11 The Baptism of the Lord

Posted : Jan-08-2026

Dear Parishioners,

Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, which concludes our Christmas Season. The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord reminds us of Jesus’ profound humility and willingness to fully embrace our humanity. As Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan, Jesus sanctified the waters and opened the way for our salvation, showing us the path of humility, obedience, and divine love.

Baptism is more than a one-time event; it is the foundation of Christian life. It marks our entrance into the family of God, washes away sin, and fills us with the Holy Spirit. It is a call to live as children of God, sharing his light and love to the world.  As we reflect on this feast, let us renew our commitment to live as beloved children of God, called to reflect his light in the world. May this feast also inspire us to renew our commitment to live our faith daily, sharing Christ’s love and mercy with everyone we meet. Together, as a parish community, let us support one another in this mission and grow closer to God in unity and grace.
