2025.11.23 Solemnity of Christ The King

Posted : Nov-20-2025

Dear Parishioners,

This Sunday, we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, commonly known as the Feast of Christ the King, which marks the end of our liturgical year, Year C. We will begin the new liturgical year, Year A, next Sunday, the First Sunday of Advent.

The Feast of Christ the King calls us to pause and remember who truly reigns over our lives—not the changing powers of the world, not our worries or ambitions, but Christ, whose kingship is unlike any other. His throne is the cross, His crown is woven from suffering love, and His power is demonstrated not through domination but through mercy, forgiveness, and self-giving.

In a world where authority is often misused and leadership can wound more than heal, Christ, our King, reveals a different way: a kingdom where the poor are uplifted, the lost are sought out, and sinners are embraced with compassion. To acknowledge Christ the King is to let His example shape our choices, His peace to fill our hearts, and His love to guide our relationships. So, as the liturgical year comes to an end, let us once again entrust ourselves to the One who reigns eternally.    May Christ the King reign in our hearts, our families, and our communities, so that His kingdom of love may be seen through us.
