Dear Parishioners,
I hope that all of you have had a peaceful and restful summer. Another school year is upon us and the summer is over…almost! The beginning of the school year signals the resuming of the numerous activities of the parish community: R.C.I.A, different committee meetings, school masses, meetings with principals and parents to plan for the school year and to prepare for the reception of the sacraments, etc.
I thank all the parishioners who generously gave their time and energy to help with our liturgical and outreach ministries during these summer months—lectors, extraordinary ministers of communion, sacristans, ushers, altar servers, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Women’s League, Legion of Mary, St. Vincent de Paul volunteers, communion ministers, youth ministry volunteers, to name a few. We ask God’s blessing on all our parishioners and in a special way the Lord might smile on and bless the teachers and students in our Catholic schools as they embark on a new school year.
