2026.01.25 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parishioners,

This Sunday, January 25^th, the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time, is celebrated as the Word of God Sunday. Pope Emeritus Francis, in his Apostolic Letter, Aperuit Illis published on September 30, 2019, established that “the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time is to be devoted to the celebration, study and dissemination of the Word of God.” The Word of God Sunday invites us to rediscover the living power of Scripture at the heart of our faith. The Word of God is not merely a text from the past, but a living voice through which God continues to speak to us today—guiding, challenging and consoling us. The Apostle Paul reminds us that the Word of Christ should dwell richly within us—shaping our thoughts, guiding our actions and inspiring our relationships with others. Let us open our hearts to God’s living Word—not only hearing it proclaimed but allowing it to take root deep within us. May Christ’s word inspire genuine love, strengthen our faith, and mold our lives as faithful disciples who carry His message of hope and mercy into our homes, workplaces and communities,
