Dear Parishioners,
I would like to provide you with information about our new Parish Pastoral Council. Most Parishes have Pastoral Councils or Parish Councils. The Pastoral Council is the advisory body to the Pastor. The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to give its help to the Pastor, to identify the pastoral and practical needs of the Parish and to propose practical ways of enlivening the life of the Parish community. Here at the Parish, the Pastoral Council was dissolved a number of years ago. We are in the process of reinstating the Pastoral Council, so that we can work together as a community of faith and find ways to become an even more vibrant community than we already are.
The following are the members of our Parish Pastoral Council: Ernest Perera, Tessie Lapar, Annette D’Souza, Joelinda Gomes, Diosy Coronado, Jojo Odina, Pramilla Albuquerque, Christine Wong, Melanie Ratnam, Albert Nascimento, Theresa Larcina and Belynda Kouassi. I am grateful to all these men and women for agreeing to be part of the Pastoral Council.
The Pastoral Council will meet several times a year for the purpose of reviewing our Parish’s life and ministries and to find ways to grow in our faithfulness and effectiveness. If you have any concerns or constructive, concrete ideas and suggestions that will help vitalize the life of our Parish community, please get in touch with a member of the Pastoral Council.
The first Meeting will be this Thursday, December 11 at 7:00 pm.
Fr. Vijai, C.S.C. ~ Pastor
