All Souls Day1

2025.11.02 All Souls

Posted : Oct-30-2025

Dear Parishioners,

Saturday, November 1st, we celebrated the Feast of All Saints, in which we celebrate ‘all the saints’ canonized and not, who are models for us of living the gospel and putting into practice the gospel invitation to follow Jesus.

Today, Sunday, November 2nd, is the Feast of All Souls. Beginning with the Feast of All Saints and continuing with the Feast of All Souls, we join together as Catholics to pray for our loved ones. Our prayers accompany those who have gone before us with faith and hope. In praying for our loved ones, we give thanks for their lives, and we anticipate our future reunion with them in God’s love. You will notice the Memorial Book before the lectern, in the Sanctuary. We invite parishioners and visitors to record the names of deceased family members and friends in the memorial book, so that we can specially pray for them during the month of November. In addition, as we announced last week, you are free to purchase candles, light and leave them before the altar, before or after the Masses this weekend, in memory of your loved ones. May the Saints of God pray for us and may the souls of the faithful departed rest in eternal peace.
