2025.03.02 8th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parishioners,

The Holy Season of Lent 2025 will be upon us in couple of days and the Church invites every Christian to enter seriously and sincerely into the spirit of this grace-filled penitential season. Lent provides a unique opportunity to evaluate our Christian lives, a time to be reconciled with God and the community and a moment to renew our commitment to our baptismal vocation. To this end, Lent is a time of penance, a time of almsgiving and above all a time for prayer and reflection.

Here at St. Rose of Lima Parish, we have a number of activities to help us renew our faith in God and our commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ who gave his life to give us life. We have the Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent following our 7.30 am and 7.00 pm Lenten Masses. We will have a Lenten Retreat Day on Saturday, April 05, from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm., organized by our CWL. Our confessions before the weekday Masses will continue during Lent. We will have our Lenten Soup nights on Wednesday evenings at 5.00 pm. during Lent, except Ash Wednesday.

I appeal to you and encourage you to keep aside some time every day during Lent for personal prayer and reflection and to participate in the spiritual activities of the Parish, so that we can celebrate the Passion, Death and the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus with a renewed spirit and faith.
