2024.12.22 4th Sunday of Advent

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

On behalf of Fr. Sojan and myself, I write now to all of you at a very special time of year for our faith community. Our Advent journey is nearly complete, Christmas is upon us, and our Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, comes into our world. At Christmas we find ourselves very grateful to celebrate in the presence of the faithful members of our parish community, as well as friends, family members, and any visitors who may come to St. Rose of Lima Parish to join us at Mass this Christmas season.

The beauty of our liturgical atmosphere and our community prayer is a result of the personal gifts, talents, and dedication of many in our Parish, including decorators, musicians, and cantors, ushers, and altar servers, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, and sacristans. And we continue to be both appreciative and proud of those who are involved in the outreach ministry on behalf of our Parish, especially our St. Vincent de Paul Society, The Knights of Columbus, Catholic Women’s League, who work so diligently during the course of the holidays, and all year, to serve those in the Scarborough community.

As the Priests of the Parish, we would also like to emphasize how much we appreciate and rely on our office staff, who serve the Parish so well throughout the year.

We would also like to thank everyone who has been so extremely generous to us with greetings, gifts, food, prayers, and best wishes.

Lastly, we wish it to be known that we pray for every member of the Parish each day. We are truly blessed to be here at such a wonderful Parish community, and we thank God for being with you all. May God bless each and every one of you this Christmas and fill your hearts with the most treasured gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love.
